Point Pleasant, belly dance
Jan. 28th, 2005 12:13 amBelly dance class was a lot of fun tonight. We had maybe six students total and got good work done. Next week we're apprently going to try practicing switching off who's leading. So no pressure there or anything!
Got home and watched maybe 15 min of Point Pleasant before answering a phone call from
stakebait mysteriously had more appeal to me. Which actually isn't fair to Mer as I tend to prefer talking to her to most activities, but boy is Point Pleasant just not that interesting or appealing.
Granted, Richard Burgi is in it which was a happy surprise. And man if you're going to cast somebody who's going to try to make a silk purse out of the sow's ear that the script was written on, you could definitely do worse than him. And tonight's ep was written by Ben Edlund which makes me think it should have been good, but... no.
Though I suppose one could make a drinking game out of how many times you say, on behalf of the show, "Get it? GET IT?" in response to the rampant martiphors and other non-subtle elements. But then you'd be dead of alcohol poisoning before the teaser.
And now I go to bed.
