Not enough hours in the day
Jan. 23rd, 2005 12:43 pmFirst off, happy birthday to
bonibilthe!
Contrary to all predictions, the snow here apparently petered out sometime around 10am. Looks like we didn't get nearly the damage we were supposed to as well. Unfortunately it looks like the guy with the snow plow either didn't come by, or did and only selectively cleared out parking spots. Hard to tell from my window, esp since people dump the snow off their cars right into the main drag of the parking lot, thus making it look like it was never plowed in the first place. Or possibly it was never plowed in the first place.
Nothing for it except to bundle up, grab my shovel, and get to work.
The snow ending early means that things I thought were canceled for today are back on again.
flaming_muse? Be aware that that might mean I'm a bit later than I thought I'd be on you-know-what. This is what I get for trusting weathermen who assured me that I'd be trapped inside an iceberg all day today. ;)
Still, could be worse. I had biscuits and tea for breakfast. Now I'm off to enjoy the exercise of clearing snow away. As Sunday afternoons go, that ain't bad.
