Second presidential debate
Oct. 9th, 2004 12:03 amBusy day here in TBQland so not much time to talk. Did get a chance to watch the debate, though, thanks to the wonders of multi-tasking.
( Some thoughts on how Bush and Kerry handled themselves )
So, you know, EEEEEEEEEE! Can't wait for the next one! I have to admit I'm having so much fun with these I'm going to kind of miss them when they're gone. Then again, maybe four will be just enough to sate the system. Plus if(when) Kerry gets elected, there'll also be the joy of actual press conferences to look forward to. Both in the sense that Kerry will have them, and in the sense that when he talks during them, he won't make me squirm with embarassment on behalf of my country.
Oh! Update on that Republican I talked about the other day? Yesterday he came up to me and said that the VP debate pushed him closer to being on the fence, and that the CIA report about no WMD's actually had him closer to wanting to vote for Kerry. According to him, he doesn't like the idea that Bush apparently flat-out lied to him. It'll be interesting to find out if he watched tonight's debate and what he thought of it (in comparison, he watched the first debate and actually thought that Dubya did well).
So we shall see.
Now I'm off to bed. Night!
