Car was a little shakey on the drive into work today. This does not make me happy.

Got far too little sleep last night and am now both clumsy and midly short-tempered. I give this as fair warning for anyone who has to deal with me ;)

I am hating this car thing. I'm hoping it's something ridiculously basic like a need to change what brand of gas I use but - grr. I'm not dyke enough to know what might be wrong and sadly on stuff like this my brain goes to "it's not a headache it's a brain tumor" which isn't helping my general disposition any. Neither is the fact that I have no way to take my car in to be checked until this weekend.

I need things to help me de-stress. Chocolate sounds good. ;)

MUCH better

Went home and back for lunch, per usual, and car worked fine. Suspect either z's suggestion of oil change and/or leftover effect from the car being encased in a snowbank for two days. Will take it in this weekend for a checkup but my outlook is much more hopeful now.

Caffine and lunch also helped mood immensely. Think I need to make a point of having protein in the morning. Suspect part of the rapid downswing of mood in late morning was due to body being out of balance.

In lighter news, this week brings the prep work for Mac's brother/sister. Gonna stock up on supplies and buy a new carrier and then hopefully be in a position to swing by the shelter this weekend and bring a wee one home. If not will have to spend next week researching a new shelter (probably one of the twee "Are you going to raise the cat to be a democrat? Prove it") types but there we are. One does what one must ;)

Am fighting urge to name the new kitty PC or Linux.
