Primal SCREAM

ARGH! Guess what happened last night? The sewer line blocked up AGAIN. Which flooded my bathtub AGAIN. This time because one of my genius neighbors flushed cat litter down the toilet. I'm going to fucking kill them. Especially because I was given the head's-up by the super that because this shit only started happening after I moved in, they're naturally suspecting that I'm the one who did it. Which means that if one of my neighbors fucks up and does this AGAIN, they're going to charge ME (unless I can prove I didn't do it - easy with the litter b/c I have an automatic catbox, not so much with the sanitary napkins that were the last problem - I mean who wants to examine that evidence too closely?)

ARGH.

Off to pen very snippy letter to my neighbors. Don't mind me.

Thanks to y'all for the sympathy re: the bathroom thing. I don't think any of my neighbors have kids so there's that theory down the drain, so to speak. I'm telling you, though, if this happens again I'll beat them to death with shovels.

Remember how I said I found out that if the sewer problem happened again I'd have to pay for it? Well I just reread the letter and noticed that even though it was delivered today, it was dated October 3, and the invoice attached to it is from September.

So either they don't care about the dates and just slipped this under everybody's door in response to today, or today is the "again" and I'm shit outta luck. And more specifically out a few hundred bucks, which as we all know I certainly have to spare.

ARGH.

Wrote a letter to the board explaining in VERY SMALL WORDS why I couldn't have caused either problem - pointing out, amongst other things, not even being IN MY APARTMENT FOR DAYS the FIRST time this happened kinda argues for me being innocent. We'll see how it goes.

/me goes off to mutter the mantra wolfling suggested to relieve stress.
