Okay I'm done

Well, not actually but I got mondo unpacking done today (with mega help from Mom) and while there's only 1/3 of the boxes left to go, if I do one more thing that's in any way unpacking related I may have to shoot someone. I have reached my limit.

Still, looking good so far. I'll need to buy some space organizers for some of this but otherwise hope springs eternal. And in the meanwhile I realized that 2 boxes which didn't get unpacked since the last move b/c I needed to buy organizers to hold the stuff I was storing in them could basically be moved directly into storage as-is. I am, after all, just storing the contents. Stupid to unpack them when I can just put them into my storage unit wholesale.

So that'll be done tomorrow, which will leave me with 10 boxes left to unpack. Out of approx 40+ to begin with. Amazing, huh?

Finally went to UU services today. Thanks to the job situation, the move and multiple family visits I'd missed over a month of these. The summer service was actually nice, for all that it was @#$%ing hot. I also found out that one of the members teaches free martial arts classes (you just have to pay for the uniform which I can't spell) twice a week. I could really be interested in that. The only problem is that one of the meeting times is Saturday from 10 to noon. Um... ugh.

See the thing is bare minimum I need one day a week where I don't set an alarm because that's how I can recalibrate my body from any missed sleep during the week. Doing UU services has snatched Sunday away from me, now this. Bleh.

If it was any other time I'd be all over this in a heartbeat. But with that Saturday time I'm just not sure. We'll have to see.

But on the bright side I unpacked my workout clothes today. Mom and Dad said they'd buy me a four month membership at Dad's gym so hey - also free. Can't beat that.

In the meanwhile the rest of today is dedicated to doing a big, fat wad of nothing. Don't mind me.

Oh God this is funny. Somebody took it upon themselves to cut and paste my season 3 review of Angel to the Angel's soul spoiler board (I'm linking directly to the thread there). Now normally I'd be a bit miffed about somebody doing that without asking me (I don't like my email address passed around by anyone but myself) but they left the email off and included a link to the original entry so 'kay.

But GOD are some of the comments funny! Quite possibly the funniest is the one which says the review is too opinionated. Um - the point and welcome to it. Runner up for funniest comment is the amount of people who think that "The Brat QUEEN" is a guy.

(Granted - you can only see my name in the LJ link, so if these people don't read the link or click on it they wouldn't know my name. This now leads me to a very interesting sociology question of why do they assume that a review of this nature was written by a man?)

Rounding the bend we have people who don't read for content. Specifically:

"Mere Smith's episodes WERE important this season!"
Yes, and I agree. I said that they were irrelevant last season. You might have noticed that when I said it twice and didn't include her episodes in the list of "eps that in no way affected the 18 episode long story arc".

"If you don't like the show, stop watching!"
Uh - I do like the show, and you might have noticed that in the paragraphs that I dedicated to the wonder that is Angel and why the things that make it good are, to my knowledge, rare gems on American television. Also to the many paragraphs I dedicated to why the show worked.

"If you don't like the show, why are you on this board?"
Granted, maybe these comments were intended for the person who copied my review, but if they were aimed at me words can't express how much I need to remind you that I posted the review to my livejournal, home of my opinions.

No, really it wasn't. Try reading it again. It's okay.
