Buffy: Bring on the Night
Dec. 16th, 2002 10:57 amFirst off, I'm dying over the Mac N'Cheese reference for reasons that probably only 2 other people will understand.
Second - Giles is dead. Giles is so dead. I call dead Giles! Reason being? Not only does he not touch anything but he's the one who tells us the First's limits when faking people. Couple that with Xander's M. Night Shamalayn reference and it's a huge hide in plain sight spoiler that Giles is deader than a very dead thing.
(For those of you playing the home game, M Night said that he was floored people couldn't figure out the twist to Sixth Sense when the "dead people" speech was given while the camera was on Bruce the whole time. Having Giles tell us that the First can only imitate the dead and can't touch anything in an ep where Giles walks around not touching anything? Bingo. The overly-clunky M Night reference - which is to Signs btw - is tossed in as your free spoiler key.)
La la la! This makes me happy. Not because I want Giles dead, obviously, but because this is the "what we need vs what we want" that makes the show great (as opposed to some of the crap thrown at us last season under the same guise). Wee!
