One last bit of Dorky goodness
Nov. 4th, 2002 02:30 amIf you've been following
wes_visions_rpg you'll know that Angel and Buffy recently passed some time by playing Trouble.
TBQ: you know I picture Angel arguing a lot about why they don't take the die out of the bubble
Buffybot: hee hee he is such a dork
Angel: "Why is it in there? So you can take it on car trips? Why do the other pieces move then?"
Buffy: Ack! It's just fun!
Angel: "Uh-huh."
Buffy: and bubble rhymes with trouble
Buffy: good for the jingles
Angel: "Well so do.... other words."
Buffy: like what brain boy?
Angel: I'm thinking!
Buffy: pop-o-matic rubble?
Angel: [lips visibly moving as he goes through the alphabet]
Buffy: stubble?
Angel: [with smug satisfaction] Double.
Buffy: double what? What kinda song is that?
Angel: I don't know! Not like I made up the game!
Angel: I'm just saying other words rhyme
Buffy: Right, so just push the bubble down and let the fun happen
Angel: You *sure* it's not broken?
Buffy: No, but if you keep pushing like that it is gonna break
Angel: [immediately stops trying to push and gestures for Buffy to do it if she's so smart and good at it]
Buffy: [pushes it and it makes that super satisfying Pop! noise] I got a six, so I move my piece 1..2..3..4..5..6..
Angel: That's 7.
Buffy: Is not!
Angel: Is too! Look [points and counts] You were *here*, now you're *here*. Seven.
Buffy: Nu-uh. Six, see, the starting space doesn't count
Angel: Why not? It's there.
Buffy: Because I started on it. It just doesn't, ok?
Angel: Sure. Fine.
Angel: Six it is.
Buffy: ok, your turn
Angel: [pushes and barely makes the die move] Um - does that count?
Buffy: [looks at the lame die pop] it was a good try, but it's still on my roll. A *little* harder
Angel: [pushes a little harder then darts hand back as though afraid to break it. Die tips over onto its side] Okay, does *that* count?
Buffy: [sighs] yes, that counts.
Angel: [gamely - no pun intended - moves pieces] What's the point of this again?
