Okay, long as I've got a sec:
1. Name the three movies that have frightened you the most. Feel free to explain why.
The Exorcist - because I've dealt with dead people, I know priests who've done exorcisms and it's just way too possible and real for me.
Signs - Cree. Pee.
Don't have a third one though, sorry. I'm not much for horror movies. Should I use this opportinity to tell the anecdote about when I did movie night back at my dorm and showed The Exoricst and Buffy (the movie) on the same bill? (Slogan: "Laugh until your head spins")
2. Do you have an irrational fear?
Two - being buried alive (I want one of those bells you can ring, just in case) and mirrors. Hate mirrors. Don't know why. I'm fine for looking at myself in them because I have an ego and think I'm fairly hot shit, but if I'm not actually doing makeup or brushing my hair they give me the wig.
3. What is the scariest book you have ever read?
I don't remember what it was but when I was a little kid I read a book about aliens that freaked me the Hell out. Don't know why.
4. Have you ever seen a film or read a book that frightened you so much you couldn't finish it?
Nah. Once I'm in, I'm in. I need closure or else it'll just be worse.
5. Was there something that frightened you as a child that seems silly now? (For example, a weird shape outside your window, or a character in a movie.
My bureau. Shut up. See, the thing was I watched the Muppet Show and you know how they made everything into puppets? Well my bureau was wood and stained so you could see the knots in it and whatnot and if you looked at it just so it looked like it had eyes and a mouth. It sat at the foot of my bed and I lived in fear that one day it would open its mouth and do things I'd rather not think about.
But if you think that's a silly fear, you should ask me about the sharks.
6. Have you ever had any encounters with anything paranormal? Seen a ghost, used a Ouija board, had a precognitive dream?
Let's narrow this down by saying I don't use Oujia boards. See above re: Exorcist. But beyond that - yep. Damn near all the time. See some ofcatscradle's post for more detail since we were rommies down in New Orleans. But even outside of NO I keep running into ghosts, and having precog dreams and whatnot.
7. If you made your own horror movie or wrote a horror story/novel, what would it be about?
Dunno. It's not my genre really. Gay vampires, if I had to guess ;)
8. If you could be (or should I say had to be) any creature of the night (e.g., a vampire, a werewolf), what would you be?
If we're assuming witches don't count, I'd go with vampire. I've done the pre-reading. I think my training time would be quick. ;)
9. If you could communicate in a direct way with one deceased person personally known to you, who would it be?
I'd probably chat with my maternal grandmother again. Also my aunt who died a few years back. See how they were doing.
10. If you could communicate in a direct way with one deceased person *not* personally known to you, who would it be?
I don't know. I mean there's lots of interesting people but I assume once I die I'll bump into them in the afterlife so I'm content to wait for the Cloud 9 cocktail parties.
