Weekend roundup
Sep. 16th, 2002 08:38 pmThe weekend was good. Productive. I made lasagna on Saturday which was a first for me. It wasn't bad. I wouldn't call it the platonic ideal of lasanga, but it wasn't too wet or too dry or any of the usual lasagna flaws. I bugged my mom for her recipie so I'll try that next time to see if it tastes a bit richer.
Sunday I cleaned out the old apt. All that's left is the stupid desk which nobody seems to want. I'm going to check the lease to see if it would cost anything to leave it behind. If it would, I'm tempted to just bribe some friends to help me move it down to the garbage area. Once it's there, who's to say that it was mine, right?
Busy day at work today. Emergency patient plus another patient who was supposed to be scheduled for an hour but only had a half hour instead. Lots of hustle to keep things moving and not stacking up.
I'm leading a service at my UU church this weekend. There's a meeting for it tomorrow and in theory I was going to show up with an already written essay, but I don't know how long it needs to be and inspiration hasn't struck yet. Hopefully the meeting will cover the bare bones details.
Things look a smidge/kinda/sorta more hopeful on the computer at work front. Boss asked me to take a demo disk home to see if I liked the program on it and thought it would be good for the office.
Of course having a computer at the office is no guarantee that we'll have a net connection at the office, but boy would that be nice. I suspect I could still RPG and LJ during the random moments of downtime.
