One loooooooooooooong weekend

Let's do the fun stuff first - had one hell of a weekend with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
stakebait, buffybot and miss_edith. Buffy board game was played, MST3K and Blackadder were watched, fun was most definitely had.
Now the tiring stuff - I came home to find that my bathroom, which had had slow drains when I left, had upgraded those slow drains to "decorative fountain coming out of drain in shower". ARGH. Just the thing you want to find on a holiday weekend, right?
On the plus side my super actually came over to try to fix it, which was amazing considering it was Labor day weekend of all things plus he'd spent the entire day cleaning out gutters in a downpour. I would have more than understood if he told me to bugger off. But he didn't. Instead he came over and spent a few hours trying to get the bathroom to work.
Sadly, though, it wouldn't. So I had to pack up my stuff all over again and camp out at my folks' house. Where I never tend to sleep well. The night before I started my new job.
Fun, no?
Luckily I was so exhausted from the weekend that I actually got some sleep - I kept waking up every couple of hours or so, but still pound for pound it was way more sleep than I usually get when I'm sleeping in their guest room. Plus my mom was smart enough to remember to stay out of my way when I woke up. Whew.
New job was good. Looks like in fact I'm hired. Yay. Might post more details about that at another point. Right now I've got tons of email to catch up on.

wes_visions_rpg), basically I've lost my email access during the day but I can still log on at night. I'll let y'all know when/if that changes, but for now suffice it to say that won't be anytime soon.
Off to try to cut through all the waiting email.
