thebratqueenNews from the vet today is that Mac's blood tests came back normal! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
The next steps are to wean him off his current meds (use up what he has, no more refills) and then bring him back to the vet in 2-3 months to see how he's doing without them in his system.
This is so beyond anything I let myself hope for. Heck, I'm still keeping part of my heart steeled against the news in 2-3 months that he somehow got worse again. But to think that he was at the point where he was 24 hours away from death, and now he's happily curled up in a ball beside me - that's pretty awesome.
The vet said he's a little miracle kitty and I believe it. I can't thank everyone who sent prayers, healing vibes, and support (both emotional and informational) enough. There's no way he or I would've gotten to this point without you.
