I think that figuring out if there may have been a racial aspect to McCain not looking at Obama last night is way above my pay grade. However this post at The Angry Black Woman provides some food for thought about it. If nothing else read the link to etiquette during Jim Crow for a good perspective check.

Five places to donate your old cell phone if you have old cell phones to give away. I need to get around to doing this but I don't have a quick and dirty way of getting my data off of them, and all my phones go to my current account. Anyone know any suggestions?

Wanda Sykes had some excellent commentary on Sarah Palin and sexism towards same. As for example:
"How can she be president or maybe vice president, vice president or maybe president, with five kids?" That is sexist. You would never ask a man that. But for ya'll who have these visions of, she's gonna be some mom and also V.P., get that outcha head; she's gonna do what every—what all the other people do: She will pay somebody to take care of those damn kids!
Prevention Magazine has online games that are good for timewasting and for improving your brain. No word on if said improvement will allow you to kill people with it. Mind you I didn't read the FAQ.
The National Women's Law Center is holding a free series of webinars on pay negotiation for women. It's a two part series on Oct 1 and 8 at 1pm Eastern. Not sure if I'll listen as thankfully my job treats me well, but it could be useful for others.

Cloverleaf is a service that allows you to read magazines online. Good for cutting down clutter and for the environment. Its search function could be a little more intuitive if you ask me.
Advice for getting your money's worth on buying a used laptop.
