Adventures in laundry
Mar. 17th, 2007 07:04 pmI am doing my first shot at air drying my clothes instead of using the dryer. I had a good load of laundry for it as it's mostly sheets and goofing around the house clothes, so it's not like I need them to be perfect.
Way too cold and wet to hang them up outside, which is just as well since I don't have any clothespins. What I do have, however, is a drying rack and a four-poster bed. So all the little things like tea towels went on the drying rack, the bigger things like t-shirts and sweatpants got hung on plastic hangers which were then hung on the bed, and the sheets were also hung off the bed.
My bedroom gets the best ventilation, so I've got the windows open a little bit to keep fresh air flowing through. Appearance-wise it's kind of interesting since the hanging sheets basically give the bed the impression of having the curtains that it's theoretically supposed to have.
If this works out I'll get more drying racks and clothespins, but so far so good. =)
