Ho ho holy crap is it hot in here
Jul. 2nd, 2002 10:01 pmBleh. Hot apt. No A/C. Carpet people suck for making me wait.
The good news: Made some progress on getting packing materials into the apt so I can start, you know, packing. Also poked my head into the online job listings for my area just to get a feel for what's out there.
The bad news: Granted this is a brief search but so far what's out there seems to be stuff I can do but which will require a paycut, or stuff that I'd love to do but the requirements swear I'm not qualified for. Case in point, there was one ad about developing training materials for adults. Now I would kick ass at this, but unfortunately they want someone who actually went to a teacher's college, not someone who learned on the job like I did.
And before you say it - I'm not going back to school. I hated college, I am not getting a master's or anything else degree beyond my bachelor's, and even if I wanted to (and there are not words enough in the world to say how much I don't) I can't afford that right now with the co-op and all. I need a job and I need a job that pays.
Sigh. Pardon me while I go be depressed now.
