Veronica Mars & House

thebratqueenWatched VM. This ep was much better than the other ones I saw. The chemistry between all of the characters was very good. I also like how the bigger arc seems to be more about what Veronica doesn't know than about her having all the answers. I don't say this in a "take her down a peg" kind of way, just that it's more interesting to watch characters deal with problems and conflict than it is for them to sail through everything (see also: Why I love Angel as a hero more than I do, say, Superman). So making it so that she's got some huge blind spots as far as her mother goes goes far to make the character even more appealing.
The irony? I tuned in for Aly and I don't think she did that good a job. Which is weird because she can do bitchy. But watching her felt like she was a half second behind the rest of the cast. Lack of practice maybe? Who knows.
But the real issue tonight is House! House! CANON!!! I am such a whore and it was so canon before they even made it canon and then they made it CANON! Heee!!!
And how cute is Chase with his little crush? Dude, they even did the editing to imply the crush! Considering the House/Wilson shout-out I can't imagine that was a coincidence. Plus how do you not love Chase doing his little Chase thing, with the jumping up right away to take the urine sample, the coyness with how he thought the ball player was a moron, the sly comments to the others that so, so reveal that he has a big, flaming crush on House and dear God they only had House ask Cameron and Foreman schtupping the rep because otherwise this was going to be the gayest show that ever did gay in gaytown.
Plus thank God for Tivo. I think this is the only show I've ever had where I literally have to hit pause and/or replay multiple times with every ep because some lines were so good I had to hear them again or I totally missed what came after because I was laughing too hard.
Not really sure what they were doing with Foreman and the rep in the first place. Either the rep is going somewhere in a future ep or that was there just to give Foreman something to do. Which, actually, might not be bad since that helps break up the formula a bit.
Cameron's direction is a little odd. Last week and this she's had a severe stick up her ass towards House for no good reason (the ep in which House was giving her shit about possibly losing a baby was good reason) and then tonight it ends on her getting along with him at the monster truck ralley? O... kay.
Though I have to say that out of the het options I'd much rather see Cameron/House than Cuddy/House. I was in fear that Cuddy's "ask me something I can say yes to" was leading up to House asking her on a date, so very, very happy that was not the option. House/Cuddy has a better dynamic when it's two people who are good at their jobs battling wits. Throwing romance in would fuck it up.
ETA: Btw, holy fucking God HIS ARM!!! They broke that guy's ARM! And we saw it! I know it was fake and everything but so are all the needles in eyeballs! DAYUM!
But that doesn't matter because gay gay gay canon canon CANON!!
*sniffle* God it's good to have fandom again.
