thebratqueenHey, cool - Kerry didn't make me want to vomit. He actually even got a few good snaps in. As for example, I was so happy when he pointed out that refusing to budge in your path is stupid when said path is so clearly wrong.
Of course Dubya was an asshole, but that's no surprise to anyone.
It was interesting watching the body language on this one. Supposedly Kerry actually has debate skills, and it seemed to me like he was happy at certain points when he knew things that Dubya said could later be used against him. Dubya, of course, can't say anything outside of a talking point. (Not that Kerry didn't have his own talking points, obviously).
I think the only real problem comes from the fact that Dubya was pushing assertions as though they were fact, and forcing things to be binary that aren't (for example - Yes, Saddam was a bad man. But Saddam = bad man != a lack of threats to the US that were more pressing than Saddam). Somebody who talks like they know what they're talking about can go a long way towards convincing people. I can only hope that a lot of the undecideds out there noticed the razzle dazzle.
