On ACs and other stuff

thebratqueenFinally had to cave and turn my AC on last night. It was just too flippin' humid to cope with. Of course naturally the temp dropped down again so today I don't need them. Which is good for my electric bill but not so much for my sinuses.
Plans for the weekend were to finally get around to putting some plants out on my back porch, but with the rain and that little book that's coming out I think I'm going to end up giving that a miss. Have to try to do it next weekend I suppose.
In the meanwhile I'm currently alone at work with my fic engine revving. I wanted to try to get some writing done last night but with one thing and another (glares at![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
buffybot) that didn't work out. I'm thus left with lots of time on my hands and the urge to write something, I'm just not sure what. [pokes brain for inspiration for a one-off]
In other news I caught a little bit of 28 Days last night and I'm now kicking myself that I didn't watch more of it. Viggo's in it! And the sad thing is I even saw him and went "Huh, that guy's pretty attractive and oddly familiar" yet did not make the connection. Times like these almost make me wish I was in LOTR fandom more b/c I'm sure if I was I would have known this detail, but then I remember that the LOTR fandom is batshit insane and I cheerfully back away slowly.
Plans for tonight include getting my hair cut, then doing whatever form of the hokey pokey Barnes & Naboo requires of me in order to get my copy of OotP tonight. Which means at some point I need to call them to ask someone a tad more knowledgeble on the subject than the guy I spoke to yesterday. But I'll wait until they've been open a bit more. God knows I hate it when people call here when we've only just opened up.
