Catching up after a long weekend
Apr. 26th, 2009 10:05 pmGave myself a four-day weekend. I got so much done as far as cleaning, organizing, and creating that I am amazed I'm not dead yet. At this point going into the office will be comparatively relaxing. (...famous last words)
It was, of course, way too frakking hot outside. Though that did have the benefit of making my laundry dry quickly. I'm telling ya, that's about the only thing I like about hot days.
Amongst my many things done this weekend was weeding what amounts to my garden. A surprising number (read: any) of plants have survived the winter! And now they are growing! I assure you this is purely by accident and none of my doing. Though I did help by yanking out the weeds that tried to take over. Agressive little buggers!
Speaking of plants, question for the gardeners in the crowd: Is it possible to buy moonflowers and/or morning glories as seedlings? I ask because my apartment is not condusive to starting plants from seed. Seedlings, however, are no problem. My hope is to use them to cover up a patch near my apt that's currently nothing but a cement wall. Hardly pretty.
And as long as I'm asking questions, why can't I find icons for The No 1 Ladies' Detective Agency? The internet needs to step up on that right now!
