Randomness on the subject of me
Jul. 23rd, 2007 08:17 pmI am a mean, mean mommy. I made a tuna salad earlier and DID NOT SHARE ANY OF THE YUMMY TUNA WITH MY KITTIES. It's horrible. Clearly my cats require a far more suitable human to take care of them.
The free HP:DH poster that I got at Borders looks to be going to P-sis's niece. It makes me happy to know it'll be going to someone who'll appreciate it and, since said someone lives in Germany, someone who normally wouldn't get her hands on one. (ETA: By which I mean this specific poster. Not the book as obviously HP as a concept has managed to get to places other than the UK or US ;) )
Oo! I'll have to ask her what she thought of the book! Yay for her English being way better than my German!
It's been overcast and pouring rain here. Of note? I actually didn't mind being in the office. At one point I made a hot cocoa for myself. This is remarkable in that it's a sign that I figured out how to work the machine.
Today a MIRACLE happened. Co-worker who can't teach was actually able to teach me stuff today! First big help? Being in my cube so that I could see the screen and make sure he didn't go too fast. He also seemed to be in a better mood, so I wonder if he had something going on in his personal life that was making working life not too happy.
On Wednesday Elder Brother and his family are coming in for, amongst other things, our first family reunion. They'll be staying at Older Brother's house and there are various family gatherings and events planned (and also some downtime because we're not totally insane). Sadly I can't take time for all this so most of my family time will be at night and on weekends. But at least I have my Friday summer hours to help out.
Though this also goes far to explain why tonight will be made up of a lot of me being quiet and then going to bed early.
I LIVE ON THE EDGE, BABY!
