Random thoughts

After going to bed early last night which was just a few short hours after taking a nap, waking up every couple of hours while I slept and now feeling pretty much the same as I did yesterday, I'd say it's safe to say that this week I'm going to be a fairly useless zombie. Ah well. At least I know from past experience that this only lasts about a week or so.

My boss is mostly out of the office this week. When he's gone I'm actually very good about still showing up on time and all, since I've got - whaddyacallit - ethics. Of course this morning something came up at home that delayed me for 20 min, and I didn't call in to say I'd be late since who would I be calling? And of course this was the one morning, of all the mornings I've been here on my own in the past 3 years of working here, that my boss showed up first thing even though he wasn't supposed to be here. *headdesk*

Granted he was understanding once I explained it, but still.

The only question is whether he'll keep his promise to do no more than call in later today, or if he'll get it in his head to stop by again. Hopefully just the former.

Now if I could only figure out how to take a nap while I'm here. *looks under desk*
