Knitting, work, other
Aug. 22nd, 2005 12:22 pmEnded up doing some knitting last night. I'm seriously in the home stretch on the baby sweater now. Both sleeves are done, and the main body is mostly done except for another inch or so, in which I need to make buttonholes. Once that's done I can get to seaming. Or, more accurately, get to coming here and crying piteously that I don't know how to make seams work. But I'll give it the ol' college try.
I don't want to go to work today. On Friday, a blissful day in which my boss was mostly out of the office save for one morning appearance and then an afternoon phone call, it was established that when he handed me a list of names of people to send to collections one of the names was somebody he did not want sent to collections. And of course it's my fault for not using my psychic powers to figure out which name on the "Send to collections" list was only written down on opposite day.
So I'm figuring that I'm looking forward to being lectured about that today. Plus it's Monday so the phone will be ringing off the hook. Plus I want to keep knitting, plus I have a lot of writing I'd like to get done.
So that's reason enough to call in sick, right?
Yeah, didn't think so. [pout]
