Jun. 12th, 2005 03:51 pmIt's been a scarily productive day today. I've done some serious housecleaning, rearranged the plants so that they'd get even sunlight, and, perhaps most significantly, I made crepes!
Yup, I bit the bullet and conquered my crepe fear. I went with sweet crepes in an attempt to recreate the absolutely delicious one I had in the UK that was dressed with butter and sugar. I upped the ante a bit by using cinnamon sugar, but it still felt like a close recreation. I think next time, though, I'll use a basic crepe batter as while the sweet ones were nice, they were a bit on the dessert side of the Force instead of the brunch side. Next time I'll also make some kind of fruit thing to go with it. Today I mostly improvised with crepes on one side and a quick scrambled egg on the other.
The thunderstorms that were supposed to come by this weekend haven't shown at all. I am most pouty about this as I adore thunderstorms. Oh, sure, sun's nice too but still! Thunder! Lightening! Rain! What's not to love?
Did not get a chance to participate in Worldwide Knit In Public day yesterday, but will take time later today to do more work on the baby sweater. At some point I will also return to coding the website. I want to keep at it as much as possible while I've got the momentum going, otherwise it might be months yet again before it gets done. I hold out hope I can get some good work done on it tonight, if I use my Tivo to put off watching Entourage and QAF until later in the week.
