Thus ends my week with the boss being away. It was so nice and peaceful at the office. I got so much work done. Next week will be business as usual, but at least I have a long weekend to look forward to as a way to recover (and Serenity! Yay!)
I was able to leave work early today thanks to the carpets being cleaned. This allowed me time to go to the library, Penzey's, and Trader Joe's.
At the library I picked up some books on knitting for babies, to see if anything inspired me as more projects for the wee one to be. One or two stood out to me, so we'll see if I make them. One has an odd but very cute stitch pattern to it. I may try to swatch up just that pattern (it's knit on a 20 x 20 grid, so it's doable) to see if I can do it. If I can, I may go ahead and make the whole project because it's just too frikkin' cute!
Appropriately enough there were two teenage (around 15) girls outside of the library who were also knitting. Apparently this really is contageious.
Tonight my plans include making dinner, relaxing, and then research for a story. If the research goes well, this weekend there shall also be writing. (Nothing for you guys, sorry.) There will also be some stuff done to get ready for Serenity, such as finally getting around to updating my Ezpass after I accidentally cancelled the credit card it's connected to. Whoops! Here's hoping that's not too much of a pain. In theory I can just call and update my info. In reality I've forgotten everything I ever did with them plus I've lost all my account information, so we'll see if I can remember enough to prove that I am who I say I am. Plus I know one time my boss needed to change something with his and it required sending the old device in and getting a new one. I can do that, but that means I won't have it in time for driving down to Philly for Serenity.
Ah well. We shall see.
It's overcast and threatening rain. The temp at night is also staying cool. I think I'm going to hold off on buying plants for the porch until early June. I'm too busy this weekend and next anyway, and that way I know for sure it'll be warm enough for them.
Now to make dinner.
