You know the problem with this time of year? It's all pleasantly warm outside and things start to bloom and the sun shines, and all of that conspires to make you think that it's going to be a wise idea to both buy and then eat a tomato. This my friends is wrong, wrong wrong WRONG. For tomatoes at this time of year, even so-called vine ripened, are icky, nasty, BLECHY little bastards that exist only to make a mockery of everything your salad stands for.
