Still sick. I'm all sniffly and watery-eyed and coughing and sore throated. In other words, I have never been sexier.
Watched Numb3rs last night since watching TV was about my energy level, events-wise. I think that ep was better than the other one I saw. Better acted, if nothing else, which possibly lends credence to my theory that the first ep I saw suffered from strange directing. That being said I don't know that I'm going to Tivo it. There's already too much stuff on that I'm watching, and the more I watch the more I can't be doing other things.
This morning, while eating breakfast from underneath the comfort of two purring cats, I rewatched Lord John Marbury, from s1 West Wing. Of note, he does not call Leo "Gerald" in that ep. More interestingly, to me anyway, was watching the story unfold and the character interaction and truly seeing that no, the current team helming West Wing just Does Not Get It. I'm not saying that AS was perfect all the way through, esp since in s4 you can so see his exhaustion making its way into the episodes, but contrast s1 with s6 and there's a baseline of trusting the audience and understanding of human interaction which is just not there anymore. Ah well.
Today
stakebait comes up to see me. I shall now make a cursory attempt to get the house presentable for her. I shall also attempt to pimp her into House a bit more. Last time she saw the uber-slashy end scene on the Xmas ep. This time I'm thinking just hit her with Detox and let nature take its course.
