Best mail day EVER!! I finally got the check to pay off my deductible from the car accident! I thought I was never going to see that money again! WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Oh this is such happy news. Esp with the holidays being here and me wanting to buy presents. Oh yay! YAY!!!!

Today is my day of doing next to nothing. It's an ironic day of almost next to nothing as there's NL stuff I need to do as well as writing I'd like to do. But the jist of it is that I'm being very laid-back about it all.

Did a few rounds of wish-list shopping, now that I have funds to be a little more generous there than I thought I'd be able to this year. I don't have money enough to buy gifts for everyone, but it's nice to know I can buy gifts for more people than I thought I could.

What's funny to me is how on some things I'm happy to spend the money on somebody else, but I feel guilty doing it on myself. I'm buying gifts for people that are on my own wish list, but my brain won't let me click over to have the same item sent to me. Though I suppose in the holiday season that's the best thing to do anyway. As I've said before, the most annoying thing a person can do (other than refusing to let you know what they want as a gift) is to buy gifts for themselves that render the gifts they bought useless.

So this is me, not buying stuff. Except, well, food. But I'm sure you guys are okay with me doing that ;)

Other than being jolly young St. Nick, I've spent the day more or less in a turkey hangover. I got a few things done, like the final clean up of the kitchen, but otherwise I just did not have the energy for anything. Brain shut down. I ended up parking myself in front of the TV and occasionally dozing off. This has made my cats very happy with me. They're of the opinion that I make an excellent bed.
