I was asked to give heads-up here when ats_nolimits starts to poke its head out of the prepwork stage and into the actual posting of episodes. We're not quite there yet, but episode 1 will be going live this Wednesday (I'll post here with the link) and today the first TV Guide-style ad was posted for episode 1. So if anybody's interested in knowing what characters will appear in ep 1 (which will be written by yours truly), there's the link. =)

Okay, thanks to my wonderful TiVo I don't watch commercials, as a rule. I think this is a good thing and it's a trend I hope to continue for many years.

However, I was tidying up in the kitchen and didn't think to hit pause while I was working, which meant I got to hear a commercial that aired during a rerun of West Wing on Bravo.

Have you seen the LDS (Latter Day Saints) commercial that basically says that if you're a single mother you should give up your child for adoption so that your child can have a mom and a dad? Are they SHITTING me with this? Let's completely bypass even vague attempts at rational arguments and go right for the fact that the only thing that matters is that adopted parents can give the kid a father and you can't? Are they NUTS??

The great irony is that all throughout the commercial the kid is chanting "My mom loves me, my mom loves me, my dad loves me." And yet, sadly, this is not about gay parents.

I... I... I didn't think it was possible but I think LDS has just lapped Catholicism in the insane troll logic awards for this year.
