I had a brain that worked at some point
May. 7th, 2004 08:17 pmNapping mid-day in an attempt to catch up on missed sleep is such a tricky thing. Sometimes it works and I bounce back fine, othertimes I screw up the sleep cycle by like a minute and I spend the rest of the night headachey and out of it. Right now is one of those times. The warmth of the day isn't helping either. I'm this close to turning on the AC but I'm clinging to my stubborn belief that it's too early for that and I should be able to handle this. Possibly the tie breaker will be if I actually find out what the temperature is.
Been keeping on top of Rumsfeld's words today only in tiny bits and pieces. This is how I restore my sanity and my ability to deny that I live in a world where up is down, torture is good natured fun, and KFC is a health food. herself_nyc part of me frets, though, that if Rummy gets fired the people in the US who have only now started to get annoyed about what's been going on will then react with "Well that's taken care of, then" and proceed to vote Bush back into office come November.
By the by, how do you explain to someone that Bill O'Reilly is not precisely what you would call an unbiased news source? Seriously, I keep trying to explain this to people who don't find this to be obvious, and my brain stalls out in the same way that it does whenever someone says "But why should we help the less fortunate?" or "What's wrong with kicking newborn puppies?" Bear in mind that unfortuantely I'm related to some of these people, so simply hitting them over the head is not an option.
Finally, I've gotta say, season six of Angel is the best season EVAH. God I love mydead gay show.
