In other news, a five year old won my heart today when, just as I was picking up the phone for the millionth time, she asked her mom "Why does that keep ringing and bothering her?"

Bless you, child, I've oft wondered the exact same thing.

In other other news I'd really like to write Pet tonight. We'll see how that goes though. I thought I'd write some last night but then I ended up going to bed at 9:30 again. Stupid cold. (coughhackcough)

Madrid

I've been going back and forth on posting about what happened in Madrid. The short of it is I didn't feel adequate to the task. Actually, to be frank I still don't. This is a moment of sheer pain, and horror, and right now I don't think I have words enough to do it justice.

But I've been reading about it, and aching, and I remembered - not to make it all about me - but I remembered years ago how much it meant to simply hear that others were there and sharing the pain and wanting to help and sending their love.

So there it is. Woefully inadequate but I'm putting it out there for whatever it might be worth.

Also possibly picture me holding my hands up too. "Stop" is a very nice message right now. I can get behind that.
