Things that continue to make me go hmmm
Feb. 3rd, 2004 02:47 pmMuch as I know we're all tired of boobgate, OTOH I can't help but notice that more attention and outrage seems to be given to the whole Janet's breast thing than the fact that Dubya.... well pick any shitty action of his, really. But you get my point. It's the little things that make me suspect that more people vote in American Idol than in our actual elections. Cynical? Me? Naahhhh.
In other news Mer tells us that DC and Marvel are claiming the phrase super hero as their own. Mer goes on to conclude that by those rights she and I must own the phrase 'Da' since people keep telling us we were the first to use it in Angel/Spike fic (I keep insisting that people are wrong) but OTOH I considered the moneymaking potential of claiming all forms of "da" from "Daddy" to "Dandelion" and now I'm wondering why I'm protesting so hard.
So yeah! Hook me up! I figure this way I'll also own the copyright to "Damage" (Aka last week's ep of Angel) so there's no wrong to be found there.
I say we should all do it. Marvel and DC have super hero, Mer and I have "da". Fox News will obviously be all over "fair and balanced" yet again, Janet Jackson gets "boob" and Jon Stewart gets "TBQ's personal love slave".
