I don't wanna!
Jan. 28th, 2004 01:32 pmWhat I have to do: Go outside and dig out my car from the pitiful thing that called itself a Nor'Easter (6 inches! Pfft!) (Admittedly I'm becoming jaded).
What I want to do: Stay inside and write porn. Or at least plot points that are on their way towards porn. My plot points are kind of like toast. They are merely a vehicle for the yummy jam of gay sex.
What I definitely should not do: Write a cranky post about why I don't participate in online lists, message boards, and the like.
What I probably will do: Grumble a lot, dig my car out of the snow, come back in for a hot shower and then soothe myself with episodes of the West Wing. And then write toast.

Is this any of you?
Jan. 28th, 2004 01:52 pmIn other news, do any of you live in the 605 area code and if so are you trying to call me? Someone with a 605 number has been calling my cell phone pretty insistantly for the past couple of weeks or so and when I google the full number it's apparently listed to a private person whose name I don't know. Is that any of you or should I keep ignoring it whenever it rings?
Recipe for a happy TBQ
Jan. 28th, 2004 02:32 pmSo I braved the snow to dig out my car and was told by the super that the snowplow guys are coming back again, so if I move my car to one of the visitor spots my spot will get cleared out and I don't have to do any work! Woohoo!
Still had to clean off my car though. Apparently the website I checked gave an inaccurate snow count because they said six inches and there was easily a foot of snow on my and everybody else's cars. So my area did, in fact, get hammered. But being a business day I guess it got cleaned up more quickly than that Sunday two weeks ago when we got surprised and pounded with seven inches.
Man does that sound dirty.
Speaking of dirty, I've found that part of why I was feeling so cranky is because there was no fresh air in my house. Going outside then coming back in here and cracking open the windows has improved my outlook immeasurably. As has me finding out that one of my fav. pizza places is delivering. (Yes, I shall tip even better than I ususally do).
So I'm back inside without having to kill myself, I'm reassuring Mac that no, really, the snow did not kill me, I've got pizza on the way, West Wing to watch, a warm shower in the offing and then toast! Wonderful toast!
Can't beat that. =)
