Snow! Blizzard! But you knew that already.

I do not have to go in to work today, thus proving my boss isn't always on crack, weather wise. I passive-agressively hate the fact that I had to call him at home to find this out, but I'll maintain the denial that he would have called me as 1 o'clock came closer.

In the meanwhile I have an extra day off to do nothing except cook and play on the computer.

Tried making my grandmother's sauce for the first time and unfortunately I think I picked the wrong brand of tomato paste to put in. I had this vague memory of reading a review that said this one organic kind was really good and this other was really bad. Guess which one I think I accidentally picked? So now what I have is sauce that tastes just like my grandma's on top but after a second has this not-quite-right tomato paste flavor. I mean it's still a good sauce, it's just not exactly hers. On the flip side at least now I know I can make her sauce as long as I get the ingredients right (she recommended a brand to me)

In the meanwhile I'm making fresh waffles, so line up if you want some.

Mind you, this does make me curious. If I ever did write het, is there a pairing y'all have been wondering if/hoping I'd try? (Besides Wes/Lilah which I've done already and doesn't count.)(Because I said it doesn't count, that's why.)
