Will post my own comments later. A couple of people asked about who's got spoilers and who doesn't. Honestly don't know b/c I haven't had time to read the reviews yet. But will see if I can post links like I did last time during my lunch break.

In other news - 6! 6 freaking degrees out right now!!!! With windchill it's like -11!!!! Bah!

Angel 4.8: Long Day's Journey

Spoilers - who's got 'em, who doesn't

Okay, this is just me doing the quick rundown of who does and doesn't have spoilers in their Angel reviews. At a quick glance most people labelled accurately, but just in case people want to be extra cautious. As always, "no spoilers" means for future eps.

LM has quick comments, no spoilers

JennyO has comments that don't confirm or deny spoilers, but which I know some spoiler virgins would still probably prefer to avoid.

Stakebait is spoiler-free (also talks about Buffy)

Possibly the world's most unhelpful advice

I work out of a small office building. When I get in this morning, I'm the first person to arrive. I unlock the outside door (the door to the building itself, that is) and hold it open for a girl who works in the office opposite mine.

On the way in, the girl realizes I haven't unlocked the door for anyone who doesn't have a key and asks if I know how to do that. Walking up the stairs, I say no. Following me up the stairs she says, quote:

"When you turn it? Push the thing in."

"Okay," says I.

It's the little things that clue you in to the fact that we were probably both not what you'd call morning people.

You know, the thing that I love about this news story is the following quote:

"The views that he holds are far, far removed from what the president believes," Fleischer said. "The president has a total opposite view. ... The president's view is that people with AIDS need to be treated with care, compassion."

Because, if we read for content boys and girls, we see that Thacker withdrew himself from the nomination. Which means that Bush apparently felt it was AOK to nominate and keep somebody with an "opposite view" from his, which, if we define Bush's view as Fleischer puts it, means that Bush cheerfully nominated somebody who thinks that people with AIDS shouldn't be treated with care and compassion.

Christ. Sometimes making fun of this administration is just too damned easy.
