Being responsible

Get me! I paid my bills! Seriously late on one but now that I've finally set up Money on this computer that shouldn't happen again. Stupid desire to procrastinate.

Also - I may have paid off one of my loans. Woohoo! Tentatively! ;)

Oh yeah...

And in other news I came out to Elder Brother today. I'd been saving that up to thwart him for when he tried to give me unasked-for advice about my life (figuring it'd be a good fuzzy tiger), but lunch actually went fairly painlessly and when we later got onto the topic of homosexuality anyway I decided I might as well throw it in there.

Actually the topic had gotten around to bisexuality, by way of talking about people who are gay but are so far in the closet they don't realize it themselves, and I really wish you knew my brother well enough to understand that when he was starting on the theory of "Bisexual people are just sex addicts" he didn't actually mean that in a judgemental way, but in a "they, moreso than others, are interested enough in sex to be open to exploring all options" kind of way so that when I countered with:

"Uh, I don't think so"
"Well that's your theory"
"Actually yes"
"I mean I'm open to meeting someone and being told different"
"Okay then, nice to meet you"
"Same here"
"That was my way of telling you I'm bi, sweetie"
"Oh, okay. Then you're a sex addict"

Heh. I love my family. Taking the piss out of each other is a fine old family tradition. Case in point, as I was dropping him back off at the house he said "Boy, I can't believe you told me that. Now I can totally harp on how and when you get laid. Ha ha! New ammunition to torture you with! Sucker!"

Now to get around to mentioning it to Older Brother one of these days.

I made bagels today. Yes, I boiled them. I'm from New York, is there some other way to make bagels?

It was very cool. Not that hard at all. Esp thanks to my new Kitchenaid Mixer, which is the POO. I am so making tons of things that need mixing now, just so I can use it.
