My day

This is the conversation I had with every damn patient today:

Me: The earliest appointment I can give you is on the 21st.
Them: Can I have the 20th?
Me: No. The earliest appointment I can give you is on the 21st.
Them: You don't have anything earlier?
Me: No. The earliest appointment I can give you is on the 21st.
Them: That's a Thursday. Do you have a Monday?
Me: Sure. I can give you something on the 25th.
Them: So late??? What about the 18th?
Me: The earliest appointment I can give you is on the 21st.

Later, rinse, repeat. Sigh. What, like I'm hiding appointments? It's not a store, folks. It's not like a got a new shipment of appointments in the back that I haven't opened yet. No appointments before the 21st means - follow closely, there's going to be a quiz - no appointments before the 21st. Now write that down.

In other news I did not buy the DVD for Ocean's Eleven today, so I really wish all of you would stop spreading that rumor.
