Plans for the day

Looks like Mina - my new neice - will be born sometime today by hook or by crook. Anybody want to place bets on when? We could get some gambling going here ;)

In other news I'm still in shock that I don't have to unpack anything. What I do need to do, however, is move furniture around since it was shoved to the side to make room for boxes and whatnot. The cable guy's coming tomorrow so I kinda need to make sure he can, you know, reach the tv. I hear that's a requirement.

So - deal with bedroom first, because that lets me move some stuff out of the livingroom, and then I can deal with the livingroom and then call it quits for the day. I won't be done with all the other stuff I need to do, but I'm approaching the rest of it in small steps.

And then I'll write. I brainstormed the Wes/Angelus story with Mer last night and between us we figured out a way to get the boys were I needed them without giving away any season 4 spoilers. So yay. So far it looks like 2 scenes at least before the snippet I wrote last night, maybe some rewrites on the snippet, and then we'll see where the boys go.

All that and I'm up early. Weird.

Give it up for the newest member of the family: Mina! Born at about 1 pm Pacific time she's 8 pounds, 22 inches and currently sleeping soundly with her mama, who is also fine and recovering nicely from the C-section.

What do you like best about your home?

It's mine! No rent! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Ahem. Also the paint. I like the paint job.

What do you dislike?

I cannot get the bathroom to vent. I'm taking showers with the window and the door open and the paint on the ceiling is still peeling. And I don't even take showers that are that hot!!

What would you change?

Well that lack of vent thing. I also wouldn't mind if some of the cabinet doors worked better. Plus the place needs new curtains and such.

What would you add?

Washer/Dryer in place of one of the closets - which would screw me over for that closet space but on the other hand - washer/dryer. Right now I either have to use the machines in another building or haul it over to my parents' house.

If you were given a nice sum of money and told you could only spend it on your home or furnishing it, how would you spend it?

Washer/dryer, vent for the bathroom, and a re-do of the kitchen cabinets.
