So I read this AP article on CNN about the Nick News special tonight re: gay parents and the controversy therein.

Now part of me wants to let this wash off of my back because these are idiots, but the other part of me doesn't want to let this wash off of my back because these are idiots who get on the news and try to influence other people's opinions.

Gah! Could you people please know what the Hell you're talking about? There is no such thing as gay indoctrination! Believe me, if there was we'd be using it on you because then it would SHUT YOU UP.

I'm having such a Chandler moment. Could these people BE any dumber? Try this quote:

"It is a cover for promoting homosexuality for kids," said Andrea Lafferty, the coalition's executive director.

For who in the what now? Homosexuality for kids? We've got a minor league now? Why didn't anybody tell me? I could have been going to Homosexuality for kids camp when I was a child instead of crying because my parents wouldn't let me be a Girl Scout.

What exactly is homosexuality for kids anyway? QAF the animated version? Cookies with rainbow icing at naptime? I want to find this Andrea Lafferty and just ask her to define her own damn terms before she bitches to the news about them.

Found this link to a proposed new WTC.

I gotta say this still kicks me in the gut. Don't get me wrong - I'm for rebuilding. I want to take those people who don't even live here yet feel a need to tell us that we should only build a little park (Roger Ebert I'm looking at you) and slap them.

But even so it's hard to look at the plans to rebuild. I don't think I'm in a place yet where I can really acknowledge that we need to rebuild. It's like I still have a tiny percentage of myself that's insisting that it's not real. I wonder sometimes if that part is ever going to go away.
