Rainy Saturday

You know, if central casting was to send down the perfect Saturday for resting and relaxing it would send down a day much like today. I slept on and off for about twelve hours (not that I was tired) and during that time we had heavy downpours. It made everything just the right level of cool and gloomy.

It's not raining now, but it's still overcast and if I remember the weather reports from yesterday we're supposed to have rain on and off all day. I can't imagine better weather for sitting and knitting and watching DVDs.

I originally had plans to take a trip up to Trader Joe's, but I realize now I was greatly overestimating my own abilities. Fortunately this wasn't a trip for anything I can't buy later in the week.

So today I rest and relax with a nice cuppa. Ahhh.

Bleh

Man have I vastly overestimated any potential energy I'd have today. As you know, I already crossed off the idea of going to the store. On top of that we can now add the idea of me making breadsticks. The recipe isn't that hard, but just looking at it was enough to make me feel weak and wiped out.

Good thing versailles_rose (who is hopefully having a happy happy birthday!) gave me that bread machine. I tossed in ingredients for Italian herbed bread, which should hopefully go well with the sausage and peppers I'm hoping to make for dinner later tonight.

Now, I go sit on the couch. Sitting on the couch sounds like a very good idea. Yes.
