Snowy aftermath

The snow has stopped snowing, though it's still on the ground due to the fact that it's apparently really frikkin' cold outside. I opted to stay in bed a little late and there's definitely work today, so no snowy day waffles or pancakes. Which is fine, as now it's sunny and bright, so it's not the same feeling at all.

Dance classs is officially on hiatus until the new year. I admit to being relieved. I was going to go this Thursday if it was on, but it was stressing me out a little. I still have stuff to do, but at least now there's extra time to do it.

Weather this week is supposedly cold today and tomorrow, comparatively warmer and therefore rainy later in the week, and a possible snow on Saturday. Yay for a white Christmas!!!

A confession

You know the song "Happy Holidays"?

I only just realized this weekend that one of the lines in it is "Let the merry bells keep ringing".

For years now I thought the line was "Let the maribels keep ringing."

I figured maribels were some kind of flower, or maybe some part of a quaint 1950s Christmas custom that we don't do anymore so nobody my age knows what a maribel is.

I suppose "merry bells" makes sense too, but now I'll never know what a maribel looks like.
