So far, a good day
We have a perfect summer day out here in the land of Siam. Warm but not hot. I've got all the windows open, though we may be switching to AC later on.
I took advantage of this to walk down to the farmer's market. It's the first time I've been able to hit it this year (not a huge feat since it only started this month [eyeroll]). I will say this: better than previous years. Past farmer's markets in this town have basically amounted to five stands all selling the same thing, with maybe a person selling baked goods and/or flowers to mix it up. This time it looks like they were better about trying to bring in some variety. I won't say there weren't a lot of people selling tomatoes, but there was more to choose from in terms of fruit and what have you.
I picked up some tomatoes for dinner tomorrow (mine aren't ripe yet), garlic and cucumbers to make pickles with, and locally grown honey.
I am now both hot and sleepy, and wondering if I should shower or nap first in an attempt to take care of this.
Brunch today was an egg and cheese sandwich on a multi-grain english muffin that I made all by myself (the sandwich, that is. the muffin was store bought). Way more filling than you'd give it credit for. To drink I gave up on attempting to make smoothies that tasted just like chocolate milk as I have realized that chocolate milk also tastes a lot like chocolate milk, and thus a middleman can be cut out of this process.
I have one thing that absolutely has to be done before the weekend is out, so obviously that'll get crossed off the list by tomorrow night at the latest. Theoretically at some point today I'll be getting together with family. And my mind is awash with all kinds of naughty pictures about things that I don't write because writing them would be wrong.
And that's about that.
